Explorer Fridge Freezer is the original portable 12 volt combination Fridge and Freezer - in the same unit. Explorers are suitable for 4WD's, boats, trucks, camping and aerial support. An Explorer will keep your meat frozen, your lettuce fresh and will let you enjoy ice cream and ice blocks in 42 degree heat.

Each unit is built tough to function effectively in the extreme Australian conditions. Built tough means that all models are made with the same sturdy construction combination of Marine Grade Aluminium exterior and the clean and washable fibreglass interior. Explorers are strong, durable and able to take a few knocks - you can even mount them externally in your trailer. Explorers also have the ability to be powered by solar panels - these panels being highly resistant to water, abrasion, hail impact, and other factors relating to the environment and exposure.

To function effectively the Explorer Fridge Freezer has a unique and highly practical design combining both a fridge and a freezer compartment in the same unit. Each unit has dual thermostat control which will maintain the temperature you want with a fridge section that has the ability to freeze while the freezer section will maintain temperatures as low as minus 18 degrees centigrade. Through improved design and increased insulation, energy consumption is greatly reduced compared to the three way absorption units used in other camping fridges. Reliability is ensured by using Danfoss compressor/gas systems (as used in home freezer systems) - in fact we guarantee it with a three-year warranty on workmanship and materials and a 12-month warranty on compressor and electrical components.
